Good afternoon, Oak Bay.

If you’re heading onto the water today, check the forecast before you leave. Environment Canada has a strong wind warning in effect for Haro Strait, with southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots and west winds reaching 30 knots over southern sections.

Showers should ease this evening.

Bowker Creek Brush-Up returns Aug. 9. More than 40 artists will set up along the creek between Hampshire Street and Armstrong Avenue from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
