What we collect
If you subscribe, submit a board note, or contact us about advertising, we receive the information you enter. Reader reactions and poll votes are connected to a random browser identifier—not your email. Optional written feedback is kept for up to 180 days.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics may record visits, page interactions, device information, and approximate location. We use this to understand what gets read, where forms break, and which outreach brings in subscribers. Our own event tracking deliberately excludes email addresses, names, phone numbers, and postal addresses.
Who helps us run the paper
We use service providers for newsletter delivery, hosting, analytics, email, payments, and customer follow-up. They receive only the information needed to provide those services. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can also block analytics in your browser. To ask what information we hold, correct it, or request deletion, email info@oakbaylocal.com.
